Refund Policy

Below outlines the refund policy for conference registrations. Please familiarize yourself with this information.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received before September 8, 2017, will be refunded in full. Cancellations received after September 8, 2017 and prior to September 15, 2017, will be refunded less a 25% administrative charge. Cancellations made after September 15, 2017 are non-refundable. Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing to the conference office by email to office@synergyohio.org. Refunds will be paid after the event.

Replacement Policy

You may send another person in your place at any time, if prior notice is provided to the conference office. Once registration is submitted, you are responsible for payment unless you follow these policies.

Note: Everyone must be registered. No special rates will be offered for staff that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to attend the conference. The person should talk to their team and determine who will take them and how it will be funded.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Synergy Conference website (synergyohio.org). On some pages, you can make requests, and register for conferences. The types of personal information collected at these pages include your:

Employment Information
Phone Number
Email Address

If you choosed to pay by credit/debit card full credit/debit card information is NOT stored on our servers at any time with the exception of the last 4 digits of the card used. The card information submitted during payment is only used to validate payment against the payment gateway and is discarded thereafter.

On some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, you can add a registrant to a registration. In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected would be the same as listed above.

How We Use the Information

We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the registration process or to enroll in conference sessions.

The same holds true when you provide personal information to place an order for someone else. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that registration.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We may use employment information in such a way that company names may be displayed or made known to others, but in no way is specific employee information released in regard to company names.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. We do not collect information from children since they typically have no use of our services. Parents or guardian information is collected instead on the childs behalf.

How You Can Access or Correct Your Information

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by emailing us at office@synergyohio.org. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
