Presenter Proposal

SYNERGY Conference ~ October 2-4, 2019

The Synergy Conference will be held at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, in Sandusky, OH October 2-4, 2019 (Wednesday-Friday.) We have been providing training and conferences to professionals and advocates in the field of developmental disabilities for many years. This is the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with other people working or receiving services in the field of DD, as well as allow you to learn of new developments in the field.

We look forward to receiving your presentation proposal by March 28, 2019, for certification approval.

Guidelines to Present:

    1. Panel presentations that include individuals with disabilities are highly valued. If you are doing a panel session, please limit the presenters on the panel.
    2. Presenters are invited to attend the conference sessions on the day of their presentation at no charge; lunch is included. Except for the free conference registration on the day of your presentation, no compensation or reimbursement is given to presenters, other than to keynote presenters.
    3. We ask for proposals to be complete and received by the deadline. (Includes session title, description, name, title, address, phone number, email address etc. for each speaker.) Include a resume for each speaker to be used for certification applications. (Information needed is education, degree, work experience, licenses, past presentations, etc.)
    4. The conference committee will review the submitted information and schedule the sessions. The primary presenter will be notified. It is up to the primary presenter to contact and inform the other speakers about their session.

Proposals must be received by March 28, 2019.

Please be sure to meet our deadline so approvals can be made, confirmations sent and certification applied for. 

EQUIPMENT NEEDS:  Synergy is happy to provide the following audio-visual equipment for your presentation at no cost. However, a rental charge for equipment is charged to the organization. Due to these increasing costs, the Conference Committee asks that you limit your AV request to only the equipment you will use: Note: We will provide an LCD projector for PowerPoint, a laptop computer and a screen in each session room. Please include your additional AV equipment request with this proposal.

ROOM SETUP: All rooms will be set up theater, rounds or classroom style. Due to award luncheons and consecutive sessions, special room requests may not be possible.
